It's a long-overdue addition to Madden NFL, and should allow playing at home to feel more authentic. The main problem is that it could be too simplistic. Furthermore it could cause more games to be quickly lost (just like real life, but I digress). M-Factors however on the contrary they are based on the XFactor system that has been tested and proven. Similar balance issues were raised in Madden 20 after X-Factors made themselves available, however Madden has kept these under control.
Madden actually has some entertaining features. The biggest issue with Madden has always been its polish, a problem certainly exacerbated by the pandemic. In general I'm comfortable with the current direction of sport, and believe that homefield advantage is a smart addition that's taken a while to come up with.
