Drawing inspiration from roguelikes such as FTL along with party games such as Overcooked It Means Warp sees players control the crew on a ship , manning different mechanisms, aiming weapons and conducting repairs, and ultimately charting a course through the dark and dangerous space.
For more information about Jagex's decision to publish This Means Warp, we have reached out to Outlier Games' founders Paul Froggatt and Matt Rathbun, as well as Lead Product Manager for Jagex Robert Fox-Galassi to get their thoughts on the new collaboration.
Like most indie developers, our start in the games industry came from tinkering with game ideas and programming over a long time, before we finally came up with something that was playable!
I've got 10 years' working experience at Google before deciding to go into development of games full-time. Matt's job includes the creation of Hollywood computer systems on film sets, as well as stints as a player in South Korean esports and mobile game development . We couldn't be more thrilled to share what we've made with This Means Warp.
